Materials for Controlled Biomineralization

We are developing organic materials with hierarchical structure that can provide specific chemical environments designed to nucleate and guide biomineralization for applications in the regeneration of enamel, dentin and bone. The membranes are made from bioactive peptides such as segments from statherin, which are assembled within organic matrices and used to nucleate and guide the hierarchical growth of hydroxyapatite.
