Ying Liu got her Bsc and Msc degrees at Southwest University in China. Based on her education background of pharmaceutical sciences, she worked as a Research Assistant in Southwest Hospital after getting her Msc degree. Her work focused on the role of cancer stem cell on tumorigenesis and metastasis. She joined Prof. Alvaro Mata’s team at Queen Mary University of London in 2016. Her research involves the effect of matrix stiffness on cancer stem cells based on 3D matrix model.
